This is the bottom of the purse. I crochet in rounds connecting each round as i went along. Do not spiral. I am planning to encase a spherical piece of plastic in the lining of the base. That should help the purse to retainer its shape and hold weight.

I'm working on thesame bag as well.
Actually, I did make one(no ling, though), but I made a wider bottom than the one in the picture, like you did.
I didn't use ribbom, but I made a ch, sc across.(not into ribbons and stuff)
I'm trying it again, this time like it looks like in the photo....
Question: did you dec around the first sc rnd?
